HUNTING IN BULGARIA - General Conditions

General conditions for foreign hunters forming to Bulgaria
Foreign hunters are met at a Bulgarian airport or at a certain border inspection point by an agent of the Bulgarian touring agency, which has signed the contract and the voucher. The transfer from the airport to the Station is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the contract for the organized hunting tourism by the touring agency. An interpreter, provided by the tourist agency is at disposal to accompany hunters.
Hunters - foreigners and tourists could hunt in the Republic of Bulgaria, only if they process a hunting / fishing / ticket by the sample certified by the National Forestry Board. All arriving hunters must have:

Permit to keep and use weapons for hunting
Hunting permission from the country they are arriving (in a format approved by NFB)

These documents are issued by the Director of the Station or a delegated person.
Notice - Each hunting day the hunters are paying fees for the game. Part of that money is staying with the LHS (local hunting society). The other part of the fee is going to RDF (Regional Department of Forests) as a tax.
For this purpose the chief of the local hunting society is buying Temporary License from RDF and the value of that license is covered by the hunters which will game these days - usually weekend days.

	Upon request, RDF is giving special License for game during working days of the week.This is usually upon request for game of foreign guests. Firearms: At the time of reservation, we will provide you with the required forms for each country. If hunting in Bulgaria, you travel with maximum 2 firearms and 50 shells per gun. As each country varies, we will provide you this information prior to travel. Hunting period - Each kind of game is allowed to be hunted during a determined period determined by the National Forestry Board and approved by the Ministry of Agriculture. Shooting Fees - the price of the shouted game and their taxidermy The taxes for the hunted game, are payable according the price list for 2006 of the National Forestry Board, approved by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bulgaria. Trophies of red deer, stag of a fallow deer and roe are paid on weight base , measured 24 hours after their processing. By the assessment / CIC/ of the red deer, 700 g of the trophy weight has to be reduced. In the cases of trophy measurement before the end of this period - 5 % by the weight reduced for liquids content. The trophy considered as national or world records remain in the country. Hunter pays 30 % of the real price. During the term of three mounts, the hunter receives a free copy of this trophy.
